I really like the first one – it looks really noiresque (is that a word?). It doesn’t seem busy to me, the red of the traffic light captures the eye nicely.
I still say the little red squiggle looks like someone peering out from behind a curtain.
My vote goes to the first one too 🙂 Very atmospheric.
